Septic System Service and Sewer Hookups in Lake Elsinore, CA
Help for septic homes around the lake, from backups in the house to connecting to the new sewer.
Many homes around Lake Elsinore still run on septic, especially in parts of Wildomar, Lakeland Village and Quail Valley. We help septic homeowners with the plumbing side: clearing drain lines in the house, figuring out whether a backup is the line or the tank, and connecting the house to sewer when a sewer line reaches your street.
We do not pump or repair septic tanks. If your tank needs pumping, you need a septic company, and we will tell you that before you pay us for anything.
What Septic Problems Do You Have?
The most common call is a backup. If one sink or toilet is slow, the clog is usually in that fixture’s line inside the house, and a drain machine will clear it. If every drain in the house backs up at once, or the toilets gurgle when the washer drains, the tank may be full or the drain field may not be taking water. That needs a septic company, and snaking the line will not help.
Smell is the next one. A sewer smell inside can come from a dry trap in a guest bathroom, a bad wax ring under a toilet, or a vent problem, and we can track those down. A smell or soggy ground out over the tank or drain field is a job for the septic company.
The third call is the big one: the water district is putting in sewer on your street and you want to know what it means for your house. We can help with that part.
Our Septic System Services
Our main septic service is Septic to Sewer Connection. When sewer becomes available on your street, we connect your house to it and handle the permit. The plumbing inside the house stays the same. What changes is where it drains, which is the sewer main.
Before a hookup, it is worth checking the house’s main drain. If it is full of roots or has a broken section near where it leaves the house, it is cheaper to fix while the ground is already open. A camera look at your main drain shows you the inside of the line so you can decide.
For clogs inside a septic home, we use drain cleaning that is safe for septic homes: a drain machine and no chemicals going into your tank.
If a funded district project is doing your hookup, you may not need us for the connection at all. We explain that below, because we would rather you save the money.
Septic and Sewer in the Lake Elsinore Area
Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District is converting two neighborhoods right now. The Avenues broke ground in late 2025 and is expected to finish in early 2027. Sedco Hills in Wildomar broke ground in summer 2026 and runs through mid 2028, moving 699 homes onto sewer. For homes in those projects, the EVMWD septic to sewer program pays for the sewer connection, its fees and abandoning the old tank. The Avenues sign-up closed on August 31, 2026. After you are connected, the sewer lateral is yours to maintain.
In Menifee, Eastern Municipal Water District has already finished the first phase in Quail Valley and is designing the next one, Subarea 4. The backbone sewer along Goetz Road is expected to be done in summer 2027. You can follow it on the EMWD Quail Valley project page.
Homes that are outside a funded project, or that missed the sign-up, can still connect when sewer is available nearby, and that is where we come in. Lakeland Village is unincorporated, so permits there go through Riverside County.

Septic Questions
Do you pump septic tanks?
No. We are plumbers, and pumping is done by septic companies. If your tank sounds full, we will tell you so before you pay for a drain call.
Does EVMWD pay for my sewer hookup?
If your home is in the Sedco Hills or Avenues project and you signed up, EVMWD’s program covers the connection, the fees and abandoning the tank. Check the district’s septic page or call them to confirm your address is included.
What do I own after I am connected to sewer?
The sewer lateral, the pipe from your house to the sewer main, is yours to maintain and replace. Keeping grease and wipes out of it goes a long way.
